good news

watching this video made me sad (wait for the good part)...but not as sad as i expected.

i'd been afraid to listen to the national since i moved home because their music is kinda somber and they were the last band i recommended to a friend whose relationship with me began heavily based on music recommendations.

i never did hear if it was appreciated.

oh well. great band/song/video regardless.

i guess i spoke too soon.

mom and dad are the only others in the house and they're both asleep. not ready to go to bed just yet, i poked around youtube for some more videos by the national and found this beautiful one for a song i'd yet to hear.
