first of all, i apologize that these photos are so large. i'm still getting used to photobucket. i had to start using the 'bucket to post those crazy gifs because they don't show as animated when i use the blogger image feature. plus, photobucket makes it soooooo much easier to post a bunch of pictures with accompanying text in one post.
anyway, i visited mark and adam friday night. this is adam clutching a box of rolling rock in the resident parking lot in front of his new civic (which, unfortunately, isn't very visible here). adam didn't know that i had gotten a new civic a week after him and he was quite surprised to see it in visitor parking. we walked back and forth between visitor parking and resident parking comparing the 08 civic coupe (his) to the 08 sedan (mine, duh) and talking about how much we believe in our new rides. "civic!" was mantra-ized out there in the cold. good times.
i posted this because adam looks cool with two heads.
mark's been growing deckcorn since before i moved home. yup, corn in a huge bucket out on his and adam's deck (or balcony, actually). god, i love how crazy mark is. i don't know anyone else who would attempt such a feat - the bucket takes up a third of their tiny deck!! the corn's been a little neglected lately and only one ear survived. but damn, check out the size of those kernels!!!! i can't wait until next year's batch of deckcorn. yum!
this is the inside of adam's sweet new civic. i don't think they knew that i took this but i like that it captures both of them. we're on our way to breakfast where adam will later bust out his bookyfoo rap.
we went for a ride after breakfast. it was a superwindy afternoon as this random expensivecarowning lady can attest.
so windy that adam's hat blew off his ramenoggin!!!!
this dude was crazy. the wind was blowing so ferociously that it stole my breath.
ummm, a boathouse or something.
buoys!!
it was way too cold so adam took us to another spot. "uhh...anyone know where the walking trails are?" notice that mark is now wearing adam's hat. why? "don't worry dude, my head is too large for it to fly off of."
adam is prepared to fight crime whenever/wherever he and his civic encounter it.
i love these guys. really.
a random dog shares my sentiment.
yeah.
a boat!! a bench!! i actually didn't even notice the bench until adam said "look! a bench!!" thanks, adam.
i really love this picture of adam. sue me, bitches.
hey sarah, jimmy has herpes. pass it on!
adam peeing. heehee.
a split second after mark scared the feces out of adam by coming around the front of his peearea with cameraphone aimed squarely at the action. did i mention how much i love these guys?
so we saw this sign while driving back to their crib. adam pointed it out and told me it meant that there were retarded cats in the area. i can't believe i fell for that all the way up until he explained that it really probably meant to "slow down, y'all, there be cats up in this piece." gullible's written on the ceiling of his civic, by the way.
my brother, the hulkster. taken at my parents' 37th anniversary get-together saturday night.
on sunday, i had to go take the math portion of the SAT if i wanted to be further considered as a candidate for part-time employment with these dudes. i thought i did pretty well and i had a good time because i'm a dork who likes math. there were a few questions that gave me some trouble but it's not like i scored perfectly when i took it, well-prepared style, 13 years ago (770 out of 800). i'm kinda nervous, though, as i haven't heard anything yet.
i had to park on the street and ended up doing so right next to a field where like 12 dudes were playing football. at first i was excited because i'm dying to get some more sports action shots after that awesome time at the mets game. i have this pipe-dream of becoming a sports photographer someday. but i wussed out because i imagined the dudes would be a little perturbed to see some random nerdy looking fella taking pictures of them. i did take this photo from across the street and if you look closely, you can see the football in the air. but man, this is nowhere near what i wanted to capture. :(
why did the man in the yellow jacket cross the road? to get to his car, silly!!
so i mapquested directions to get to the SATspot and when i took the last turn, i realized exactly where i was. i knew watertown street sounded familiar. i completely forgot it was one of the two streets that ran perpendicularly to parsons st!!! another this is your life moment, for sure.
looking down parsons towards the end with #37. that's brown barry's booty, yo!
whoomp, there it is! #37. so much crazy happened up in there. good times, yo. good times.
those top two windows were my bedroom windows. behind those windows i played drums for the first time. i wrote for an audience other than myself for the first time. i wore trashbags for the first time. basically, if i have a creative side at all, it was born behind those windows.
and there you have it, folks.
